About us
Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. The division also performs an important internal role for the Group by providing markets, lending and transaction banking execution capabilities to other CBA business units that allows them to capture opportunities with business customers.
IB&M’s purpose is to combine global connectivity and capability to build a better Australia.
Picture yourself in the team
The International, Strategy & NFRC business (INS) within IB&M covers all the branches outside of Australia. The INS business is responsible for growing the international business in line with the IB&M strategy working with the other business units to provide unique insights to our clients and market leading capabilities.
China is part of the INS business unit.
You will report directly to the Managing Director Greater China & Country Executive China.
Do work that matters
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- Provide high-level executive and administrative support to the Managing Director, Greater China and Country Executive, China, ensuring effective diary, inbox and priority management.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, business travel, events and leadership forums, including agenda preparation, logistics, minutes and follow-up actions.
- Prepare business reports, presentations and management documentation, supporting business planning and decision-making.
- Act as a trusted point of coordination across the Shanghai branch, working closely with leadership and support functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Manage governance and administrative processes, including approvals, branch documentation, company chop administration and compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Drive operational excellence by maintaining organised records, improving administrative processes
- Delivering ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.
We are interested in hearing from you if you have
- Strong Executive Assistant experience supporting senior executives within banking, financial services or a similarly fast-paced corporate environment.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, work proactively under pressure and anticipate the needs of senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams, functions and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior leadership within a complex, cross-functional or multinational organisation.
- High level of professionalism, discretion and integrity when handling confidential information and interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Co-Pilot , Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in both Mandarin and English, with good written and verbal communication skills.
